Painted using Golden fluid acrylics, pencil, India ink and Gelatos from Faber Castell.
This was made with pencil, pastels, gelatos, some scraps of digitally transferred image on silk organza and a china marker.
These are a few pages I recently completed using the sketchbook I use in my house. I work in the early morning hours before Alan is up. Although this work was started as a simple solution to not being able to leave him alone to go into the studio, it has now become a springboard for much of my latest work. Because of the materials I am using, old imagery and ways of working came back. And although I initially saw this as a negative approach I was so excited with the results that I felt I had no choice but to embrace it.
